About This Place

Located in the heart of Brooklyn at 705 59th St, Western Yunnan Crossing Bridge Noodle offers a welcoming gateway into the rich culinary traditions of Yunnan province through its authentic Chinese noodle creations. Specializing in Crossing Bridge Rice Noodles, this cozy restaurant elevates a humble noodle soup into an aromatic, satisfying experience that lingers on the palate.

The star attraction here is undeniably the Original Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles, a steaming bowl that arrives brimming with silky rice noodles, fresh vegetables, tender egg, and savory meats all immersed in a fragrant, hot broth. The delicate layering of textures—from the softness of the noodles to the gentle crunch of vegetables—harmonizes beautifully with the broth’s subtle complexities. For those with adventurous palates, the Spicy Beef Navel Rice Noodle Soup delivers a perfect marriage of spicy heat and numbing Szechuan peppercorn sensations that awaken the senses without overwhelming.

Other popular must-tries include the Golden Tommy Rice Noodle, where the comforting chicken broth complements savory egg, tomato, and vibrant coriander, and the Tomato Sauce Rice Noodle, a stir-fried delight that bursts with tangy, savory flavors. Beyond noodles, dishes like the Pork Ribs marinated in a delicate blend of spices and soy sauce, and the crisp, refreshing Cucumber Salad showcase the kitchen’s balance of hearty and light, bold and subtle.

The ambiance at Western Yunnan Crossing Bridge Noodle is unpretentious and inviting—more a neighborhood gem than a polished eatery. Affordable noodle soup! I like how it stated hot the whole time. Remember, order in cashier and pay in up first.

First time trying Yunnan noodles with my fiancée and it didn’t disappoint. The portion and taste were good. We will definitely come back for more when we visit!

The soup was very delicious! Good food for a reasonable price. There is a minimum limit for paying with credit card. Atmosphere was great for a lunch place. Recommend beef soup and fried bread.

Still my favorite crossing bridge location in 8 Avenue. Very flavored broth and for a time frame now they stopped charging tips and it's more self service. So you ordered in the front and for crossing bridge noodles you can either request them to put in everything or have them take it out with each ingredient and put in everything yourself. It's also not as busy back in the day so usually there isn't any wait time.

This place is a hole in the wall. Delicious noodles for a very good price. Lots of different flavors to choose from. Very comfy environment and friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back to try the others flavors they have!

Staff are very friendly, kind and quick. The food and broth is very flavorful and unique! It's many little dishes that accompany the noodle is refreshing and provides such a flavorful contrast when mixed all together. It's inexpensive and it's very heartwarming, especially during the cold winter season. You can also add more little side dishes to infuse your broth to enhance its savoriness! Overall, a really nice meal and I highly recommend it, at least the original broth flavor! Thank you for reading and good luck! (:

This is another hole in wall place that we found and thought was a gem. Everything was so good. Basically a hot bowl of noodles soup. They bring everything out in their own little bowl and then you put them all in the boiling soup. You can also ask them to cook everything before bringing it out. We ordered their frice rice which we very nice too. Rice was very fresh and has a nice aroma. The place is small but clean. Better get there early or plan to wait. You go up to order and they will bring to you but tip is not required.

We celebrated Father's Day here, it was our second time here, the service was great, my son loved the noodles before the meal, the ingredients were fresh, you can park next to the Canadian tire.
